Professor Liao Qun(廖群)

Introduction:
Professor Liao Qun, female, was born in July, 1959, in Jinan, Shandong Province and her hometown is Hunan Province. She entered Chinese department of Shandong University in 1977. In January, 1982, she graduated and got her bachelor’s degree of arts and then worked in Shandong University as a teacher. Thereafter, she graduated from department of Chinese ancient literature and obtained her Master’s degree of Arts. In 2004, she got her doctorate in literature. Currently Professor Liao Qun is a professor, tutor of Master and PhD students in School of Literature and Journalism, Shandong University.
Major research fields: Professor Liao Qun was an expert on Chinese Ancient Literature, especially the Literature and Culture in Pre-Qin and Han Dynasties.
Major publications: Archaeological Study of Literature in Pre-Qin and Han Dynasties (the library of national social science fund project result), the Book of Songs and Chinese culture, Myth Pursuit, Chinese Cultural History of Aesthetic(Pre-Qin Volume), Archaeological studies on the Book of Songs and Li Sao, Fun Reading Han Fei and Pre-Qin History of Literature, etc. Confucius Cultural Ceremony-Volume on the life (compilation), etc. the Spirit of Chinese Literature-Pre-Qin Volume (coauthor), the Spirit of Traditional Chinese Culture (coauthor), the Confucian Classics Translation Series, the Book of Songs, etc. She also participated in the compositions of the anthology ofChinese Ancient Literature, Chinese Literary History, and Classification Talking about the Book of Songs and Li Sao, etc.
She published more than 60 papers on journals such as Research on Literature and art, Literary Heritage and Literature History and Philosophy. Among those papers many have been partly or wholly reprinted by Xinhua Digest, China Social Science Digest, the copy data of Renmin University of China, Chinese Ancient and Modern Literature and Chinese philosophy. She has won the first excellent Social Science Award of Ministry of Education, Second-class State-level Teaching Materials Award, National Book Award, 4 second prizes and one third prize of Social Science at provincial and ministerial level, 3 second prizes of Provincial Education and 2 second prizes of National Institute. And she presided over the national excellent curriculums construction. In recent years, she has presided over one Social Science Fund Project at the national level, one National Universities Ancient Commission Project, and two Ancient Books Projects at the provincial level and participated in two Social Science Fund Projects at the national level as the main number.

For graduate students: Chinese Ancient Literature, Chinese Cultural History of Aesthetic, Chinese famous literary Writers and Works Talk.
For graduate students:Chinese Ancient Poetry and Essay,  Ancient Chinese Opera Research Novel, Lao Zi and Zhuang Zi Study, Pre-Qin and Han Dynasties Literature Research.
