Professor Ma Longqian（马龙潜）

Introduction：
Prof. Ma Longqian was born in July 1945, Shenyang, Liaoning people. He graduated from Department of Literature of Shandong University in 1982 and got his Master of Arts. He is currently acting as the professor, doctoral supervisor in School of Literature＆Journalism of Shandong University.
Prof. Ma is the leading expert of Basic Aesthetics＆ Literary Theory and Aesthetics, which is a research orientation of Literature and Art, National Key Discipline, of Shandong University. And also, he is appointed the Deputy Director of the Research Center for Literary Theory ＆Aesthetics of Shandong University, which is appointed to be Key Research Base for Humanities and Social Sciences of the National Universities under Ministry of Education. He is a State Council Special Allowance expert, member of Chinese Writer’s Association, council member of Chinese Socialist Literature and Art Study, vice president of the National Research Society for Mao Zedong Literary and Artistic Thought.
Research interests:
His research mainly focuses on Philosophy of Aesthetics＆ the Basic Theory of Literature and Aesthetics, Marxist Aesthetics and Literary Theory, A Comparison between Chinese and Western Aesthetics, Contemporary Literature Criticism.

He is a prolific author of several works, including On Establishing the Aesthetics on the Basis of Practice, Contemporary Literature and Art —— Introduction to Aesthetical Concept, the View and Systemic Construction in the Literature and Art of Subject-Object Structure, and more than 100 papers issued at academic journals.

He has won Shandong Province Social Science Outstanding Achievements Prize, Award for Shandong Province Liu Xie Literature Criticism and Award for Outstanding Scientific Research Achievements of Shandong Higher Universities several times.
