Professor Yuan Shishuo（袁世硕）

Introduction:
Professor Yuan Shishuo was born in November, 1929 and graduated from Chinese department, Shandong University in 1953. He is now a professor, tutor of Ph.D. students, member of "The Planning Group of Ancient Books Management and Publishing" and the president of Shandong Institute of Classical Literature. His interest focuses on " Literature in the Ming and Qing Dynasties" and " Studies on Pu Songling " The most known works by Yuan Shishuo are Kong Shangren Chronicle, New Studies on Pu Songling’s Stories and Works, Literary History of the Ming and Qing Novels.
Main courses:
For graduate students: Chinese Novel History, Novel Interpretation of the Ming and Qing , Studies on the Legend of the Ming and Qing and Social Science Methodology.
